Audit the curves
of Highway 128 and 121 with breaks along the way for sightseeing. Taking the curves of Ron’s 45 RPM drive at a
more leisurely 33- 1/3 RPM, Gaylon will lead us from Winters over the Vaca
Hills past Lake Berryessa to the Silverado Trail and on via scenic roads past
vineyards and farms to end up with an optional lunch stop at the end of the
event. Possible stops include seeing
“The Glory Hole” at the Lake Berryessa dam, a view of the vineyards, a café for
coffee & a snack. The event
concludes with an optional lunch/beverages/socializing at a café in Fairfield
by I-80 for an easy run home.

Burger King under Antioch Bridge/Hwy 4 (3605 E 18th St.,
Antioch, CA)
- Depart:
9:00 A.M.
- 2nd Meeting Place, 9:20 A.M. at Silva’s Drive In, on Hwy 12 in Rio
Vista
- Depart:
9:30 Sharp! (we can’t wait any longer or we’ll have a really
late lunch. . .)
- Wind across the Delta through the
orchards and across the hidden graffiti bridge to Winters Chevron
- 3rd Meeting Place, 10:45 A.M., at Chevron station on Hwy 128 exit
at I-505, in Winters
- Depart: 11:00 A.M.
- Taking a pace that allows us to enjoy
the scenery, make the loop over to the Silverado Trail, stopping here and
there to enjoy the scenery.
- Finish up at the Blue Frog in
Fairfield, for optional lunch at about 1 P.M., give or take. Bring water and snacks to tide you over
‘til we get to the café.
