'Ode to a Miataphile . . .

'Twas the night before Christmas,
And all through my mind
Danced memories of twisty roads
My owner and I had left behind.

I rest patiently at my small home,
Parked here with such tender care.
I long to hear my little engine moan,
And this top up thing I cannot bear!

So here I sit waiting for an eternity,
Waiting for my Miataphile's return.
I look fondly toward the warm months,
And all the rubber we will get to burn.

All over this country and throughout the world,
Precious little Miatas have been put to bed.
We have visions of Sears, Laguna, and Thunderhill
Purring through our little cylinder heads.

But never fear, dear Miataphile,
Winter is only a few months long.
Soon you'll be racking-up those top-down miles,
And singing the goofy "Zoom-Zoom" song.
