From the last issue of the Brentwood Press, an opportunity for an impromptu DMC event has presented itself.  Tickets must be purchased in advance, so those of you wishing to participate with Betty and me should RSVP to bob@miatadriver.com as soon as possible.  I will contact you to make arrangements for purchase of the tickets.  Come on out to our town and enjoy the atmosphere of a small town and its great folks while it's still small!!

"As part of the 'Experience Brentwood' campaign, the marketing committee and the local Kiwanis Club are organizing 'A Taste of Brentwood Restaurant Tour' on Saturday, November 3 from 1 to 5 p.m. The tour is designed to bring residents to the local restaurants.

"There are a lot of people living here who don't even realize all the great restaurants we have now," Lucchese said.  Participating businesses include Brentwood Olive Oil, the new wine shop opening on First Street, Cafe Bacio, Down Home Texas Barbecue, El Gallito, Lucy's Cafe, Pee Wee Muldoons, La Fluente and Sweeney's Station Four.  Each place will offer a sampling of their goods. Tickets are $10 and will come in three different colors so as to spread out the crowd.  At each stop, if people get their tickets punched, they will be entered into a drawing to win $100 in cash.  'We'd like to get everyone to participate, but especially those people living in town who aren't familiar with the restaurants in the area,' said Lucchese."
