Asparagus Festival
It was
a small group that made its way to the Asparagus Festival on Sunday,
April 29th(Burney Storms and myself - Bob had gone ahead for the car
show). I hadn't washed my car because I had heard it would be
dusty. Now it wasn't as bad as I had heard it might be, but it
was plenty dusty. I haven't yet figured out why they routed us
the way they did, but I guess there was a method to their madness.
We headed directly to the car show area to find Bob - well, we did
get sidetracked by the MGs. Boy, they were beautiful.
That was my first sports car (don't we all have a British car
somewhere in our pasts and isn't that why we love our Miatas soooo
much!)
I was very disappointed that Bob didn't get to try the Asparagus
Margarita (notice how I worded that!). I couldn't find the
booth. I think Bob was very relieved. The craft booths
were a step above the booths I have seen at other festivals, but I
still managed to not purchase anything.
Bob didn't win any trophies, but his car sure looked wonderful.
Burney, I'm sure glad that you didn't depend on me to get us back
home. I think I am now the official U-TURN queen. I
don't think a GPS would even help me. But I knew I was lost
(does that sound familiar?).
We had a good time and there's always next year for the margaritas.
