about a 20% mixture of anti-freeze along with the WaterWetter®. The use of air conditioning can blow freezing air through the heater core and freeze the coolant inside solid. Something you really, really don't want to happen. Also shutting down immediately after a hard run may result in the stopped fluid resting on the hot spots and boiling. Letting the engine idle for a while allows the internal temperature of the engine to drop, and prevents any problems.

During our trip to "Death Valley Daze", my 1993 Miata (Which translates from Japanese as "itty bitty"radiator) took the 105 degree heat, and mountain passes in stride. The temperature gauge only went over the centerline once, because we slowed way down on a long grade because other Miatas were overheating. Once we crested the summit, the gauge literally fell back to its normal range.

Hey dude, this is sunny California. Unless it's winter, and you are going to Tahoe, the genuine need for anti-freeze is not that great.

Please follow Mazda's directions to protect your warranty, and the instructions of any product you may choose.

One last thing. If you open the cap on a hot radiator, you are too stupid to own a Miata.
